Pumpkin Apple Pie- seriously...

A few weeks ago we took a drive up to a small village in the foothills of Lake Tahoe- Apple Hill. For those of you from San Diego, we were expecting something like Julian. We were hungry for some apple pie a la mode and we sure got some! We each choose a different type of pie- James got the Buttermilk Ol'Fashion Apple, I had the cherry-apple and Harrison chose the winner by picking the Pumpkin Apple pie!! This was so good. We kept stealing bites of his pie while he was busy chowing down on it! That's James' hand sneaking in while I distract Harrison by taking his picture! :)

We walked around with our warm apple cider and once the sugar rush from the pie ran out, we got apple donuts! Delicious! The weather was still warm, but autumn was all around us. We also discovered Christmas Tree Farms were you can cut down your own tree- we'll head back up there in a few weeks.

It's so different to live by the mountains instead of the beach. We have a fall season here and I LOVE it!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today my dad turns a perpetual 45 years old! And he feels like he's still 24, so you can't ask for more than that.

We headed to San Francisco and met up with Josh and Jake and had a great dinner at Las Margaritas and dessert at Ghiradelli's- yum, yum!

Raiders and Roses

James' TWO favorite things: (aside from his wife and son) are
The OAKLAND RAIDERS and GUNS-N-ROSES!
So, considering that he went to the Oakland game last weekend and Guns N Roses comes out with their long awaited album next weekend- you could say that he's having a GREAT month!
He took Harrison to the Raiders game and they got to sit in the second row on the 50 yard line! I couldn't convince him to take the camera along- he couldn't be bothered to capture the moment- he might miss one! So, these were the only pictures I got of the two of them before they left. Aren't they the cutest!

T- MINUS

10 days to go 'til Mom and Dad come to visit!

We are so excited to have them come for a visit and it makes me feel so much better about not being able to see them during the holidays!

Can't wait to see them and take new pictures of them because apparently, the few pictures I have of them aren't good enough!

Before you go to the polls tomorrow...

Get your facts straight:

http://www.factcheck.org/ is a non-partisan, non-profit "consumer advocate" group. The websits is helpful in cutting through the "politicting" of this election- on both sides.

So, whoever and whatever you vote for tomorrow- at least take some time to get a non-partisan look at the issues, instead of listening to one talking head or another.

This group is focused on consumer advocacy, so the only spin they will have is the anti-corporate, anti-business spin. If you own your own business or work for a large corporation, you may not like it. But it's the best tool out there right now.

A few photos from Cancun

I'll make a slideshow of the hundreds of pictures we all took there: but in the meantime, here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip!
