They've Added Fresh Fruit!
Well, we thought we could wait until Friday to go back to Heaven'ly Yogurt (see below) but we couldn't! I got home from work last night and James was ready to go again! But this time, they added fresh kiwis, mangos, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries to the toppings and it was great! So we didn't feel so guilty this time.
Wonder how long until we have to go again....

My new FAVORITE place!
So, we discover something wonderful this weekend! It's a self-serve frozen yogurt and toppings place! I've never heard of such a thing until we spotted it on Friday night. I can't describe how much joy it brought to me! You serve your self the frozen yogurt and then walk along the toppings bar, loading anything and everything onto your yogurt! It was absolutely fabulous- AND not sooo bad for. (Compared to Cold Stone- at least, that's what I keep telling myself!)
I had a swirl yogurt with brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, hot fudge and marshmallow on top! I haven't had too much sugar lately, so it was so great to gorge myself on it.
Then I went over to my friend Brooke's website and saw that she has discovered this also! Oh--- I love the summer time!
We felt so guilty afterwards that on Saturday morning we woke up early and headed out for a day of kayaking. We loaded the kayak on the truck and headed for the river. We had a great time, went for about a 3 mile trip and had to fight the wind and currents on the way back. It was so great to be splashing around in water though; it made me so happy just to be outdoors in perfect weather with James. We had a great weekend! Hope you all did too!
(Oh- no pictures of the kayaking, because the batteries in my camera were dead! There's always next time).

Memorial Weekend Camp Out
We drove through snow to get to the campground: that should have been our first sign. But we weren't paying much attention to the snow because we were all looking for a Big Foot (or at least deer). We got there in 30 degree weather. We were freezing in our shorts and flip flops, but we were dry at that point. Then it started raining. We ended up all cramming into Papa Mark's trailer- 4 adults, 2 dogs and 1 Harrison. It was a long night...
The next morning we thought we cut a lucky break because it was GORGEOUS! We went on a little hike and did some tree climbing and the guys went to the lake to do some fishing.
Harrison was hanging onto the wrong branch because it broke and he went sliding down the tree! He laughed it off and just kept climbing. Oh, to have the energy of a 7 year old!
It started raining pretty hard again on Saturday night, but we made the best of it. We put the shade over the campfire and were still able to make S'Mores. I found these really great Hershey's bar with carmel in the center- they made really delicious, gooey, s'mores. That was the highlight!
Sunday morning it was still freezing and wet, so we played some card games in the trailer. But when we went to walk the dogs, we noticed that it was actually SNOWING on us! That's when we decided to pack up and head back down the mountain to catch the new Indiana Jones movie.
You can't really see the snow in this picture, but you can tell we are cold because we are wearing every single article of clothing we brought. I'm wearing jeans, cargo pants, two t-shirts, a fleece and a sweatshirt! I was so happy that I threw my Uggs into the truck at the last minute.
At least it was all a great adventure!
