Halloween Decorating

Harrison's favorite holiday is Halloween- something about all the costumes and the candy...I dunno.
So, when its time to decorate for it- Harrison is in charge. We ended up having to get a few more decorations this year since we've never had a front yard to decorate. Here's some pictures from our weekend!

His favorite decoration (the one he starts talking about in July) is this smores tree my mom gave us a few years back. The smores figures are all dressed up in little costumes and they hang on the haunted tree. If you haven't seen these smores figures yet, look out for them, they are SO cute. We have a few christmas tree ornaments of them also. Happy October Everyone!

Check out this wedding cake...

Megan was a gorgeous bride and had handsome escorts to boot!

(I promised you updates!)
James' sister, Megan, was married in Fresno, the weekend after our Yosemite trip. Yes, I went from camping without a shower for three days straight into being one of only two bridesmaids! It worked out alright. But I don't have any great pictures of it- wonder why?!
I did have to rave about the red velvet cake with white chocolate fondant draped like satin. It was absolutely gorgeous and equally delicious.

I totally regret...

missing my 10 year high school reunion!
It was in San Diego this past weekend, but I missed it in order to attend the State Bar Annual Meeting- which was a smart professional move, but after looking at these pictures from the reunion, I totally wish I had gone.
For all those LCC/San Dieguito grads from '98: here is a link to the photos from the reunion, in case you missed it also!

YOHZ- MIGHT

So, among all of the things I have to update is our trip to Yosemite we took about two weeks ago. We left only a few days after moving into our new house. It was hectic to get there, but once we were there, we had a very relaxing, no-hassle time- which was very much needed. The most beautiful times were late at night- we would walk around before going to bed and the stars were absolutely amazing. Haven't seen a sky like that since laying on the beaches of Australia. Here are just a few pictures. In the afternoons, the deer would come to graze in the parking lots. Dozens and dozens of deer were just wandering around in between the parked cars. Unbelievable!

I've lived in California for the majority of my life- and I hadn't discovered Yosemite until I was 28 years old!

It's one thing to see the majestic Ansel Adams photographs; its another thing altogether to be standing in the Valley, looking up and having your breath taken away by the natural beauty of it all. James and I camped out at the Upper Pines campground for 3 star-studded nights. We went on only a few hikes, because we had Sammie and dogs are only allowed on the lower trails. The first day we hiked around the valley and a huge bobcat ran across our path! It FrEaKeD me out! I was able to snap a quick picture after going back to look for it (against James protest).

After two long years....

We have become first-time homeowners! We closed escrow on Friday for a beautiful house with a sparkling pool in Roseville. Needless to say, we are beyond excited about this. Here are a few "before" pictures of the house. We move in tomorrow and I'll post some "after" pics when I get everything settled!
